Every one of our projects begins with a complimentary discovery call to learn a little bit about you and your project. If working with CKH seems like a great fit, you are able to book your in person design consultation. We will meet you at your home to walk around the space, get an idea of your goals for the project, and answer any questions you may have about working with us. After our consult, we create a detailed project proposal for your space which outlines your complete project scope, estimated hours, and design service fees. Once approved, contracts are signed and retainers are paid, we will send you your design homework to get started! 

Design

Our Design Phase starts with our Kickoff Meeting in your space. We will take measurements, before photos, and meet with any members of your build team to officially kickoff your project. After reviewing your design homework, we begin curating your design presentation. The presentation will  allow you to get a visual of how your space will look, feel, and function. It includes a variety of different items such as inspirational photos, ideas for the space, color pallets, design finishes, material samples, drawings, layouts, elevations and 3D Renderings when requested.  

Procure

Once your design presentation is approved, we will begin sourcing each design element included in your design such as materials, furnishings, fixtures, special orders, custom pieces, textiles, appliances etc. We utilize a client portal for easy communication and approval of all items before purchase. Once items are approved, we get to work on ordering. The procurement phase is very detailed and includes placing orders, tracking lead times, arranging deliveries to our receiving warehouse for inspection and storage, and arranging furniture assembly. 

Install

All design elements are now ordered and we begin our install phase. On new builds and renovations where construction is needed, we work closely with your contractors to make sure your design plan is accessible and clear. We provide detailed spec books and site visits with contractors throughout the build process with clear instructions always available. Once nearing completion we will complete a punch list of any  outstanding items. Once construction wraps we will schedule your install day!

Install day is where all the magic happens! We will ask you and your family to leave so our team can deliver all the furniture, arrange the room, and completely style the space for your welcome home reveal!  After the reveal we will wrap up any outstanding items,  go through our final budget meeting and close the project so you can get to creating memories with the people you love the most in a space that was designed especially for you!
